Chinese Language School: Heritage, Culture & Qualifications
At Coventry Chinese School, we blend engaging language education while embracing Chinese heritage and cultural experiences. Our supportive community guides students aged 4-18 on their journey to gaining GCSE / A Level qualifications in Chinese under the national curriculum for modern foreign languages.
We welcome all children from Chinese, mixed-Chinese, and non-Chinese backgrounds. We are a not-for-profit organisation providing supplementary education in teaching the Chinese language at primary and secondary levels.
Enrolment
Join Our Classes
Classes run on Sundays between 1pm and 3pm for 35 sessions per annum during school term time. The current academic year started on Sunday, 8 September 2024, but late joiners are welcome! Children from age 4 (on 1 September 2024) onwards can enrol for Chinese (Mandarin) lessons now.

Our pupils achieve excellent grades in national GCSE and A Level Chinese exams, with a 100% pass rate and over 90% achieving grade 9 or A.

We welcome students from age 4 to 18, with classes structured according to age and language ability.
Classes run every Sunday during school terms from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, totaling 34 weeks per academic year.
Yes, we offer separate classes for native and non-native Mandarin speakers from Year 1 to Year 8.
Students can work towards GCSE and A-Level qualifications in Mandarin Chinese (subject to availability).
Students need their own bag and basic stationery (pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners), and they may bring water for break time.
We issue progress reports each semester and hold an annual Awards Ceremony celebrating student achievements.
