I am pleased to confirm that we have managed to secure more classrooms from Ernesford Grange Community Academy. From September 2015, the total number of classrooms hired will be increased from 12 to 15, which means all the classes will have their own classroom. Whilst this is a huge relief to both school management and teachers, we are also aware that we need to continue to encourage pupils to follow the school rules and demonstrate good behaviour both during lessons and at break time. The assembly procedure as described below will remain in place in September 2015.
- All children will gather in the dining hall and sit around an allocated line of tables when they arrive. They will say goodbye to parents in the dining area when their teachers arrive and teachers will take them up to the classroom.
- Any children arriving late (i.e., after 1pm) will be brought upstairs by either the head-teacher, the school secretary or a designated parent helper.
- Children will come downstairs in groups with their teachers during break time, and will go back upstairs with their teachers after the break. After the lesson, teachers will bring children downstairs to meet the parents.
- As we have to vacate the school premises by 3pm, classes will finish between 2.50-2.55pm and parents are expected to arrive in the dining area around 2.50pm. This will give us 5 minutes to put the dining hall back in order. Any uncollected children by 3pm will be handed over to the head teacher/ school secretary and wait for parents in the car park area. Therefore, please be punctual as children will have to wait outdoor under any weather conditions if parents are late. In case of emergency on way to school, please call or text the head teacher/ school secretary where possible for notification.
